Little bit of cuteness!

This sweet little skirt was whipped up last week on a sick day with Esther. She had a weird, really high fever, but no other symptoms. Then over the weekend, an odd rash...two things she never gets. Anwho, some research and a doctor visit later concluded in strep throat, leading into scarlet fever. The child never complained of a sore throat - really high pain threshold like her tough Mama, I guess!

Oh, but back to the skirt. Pillow case found at the thrift store (there's orange in there, if you didn't notice). Measure, cut, elastic, pocket, buttons...voila! She loves it and so do I!

Rockclimbing...kind of

We headed up to Athens last weekend to go to Esther's friend, Finn's b-day party. It was at a climbing gym (I was totally stoked). Though it took asking and receiving a "no" reply about 30+ times, she finally said "Yes" and up we went. She looked so cute in her harness and itty-bitty climbing shoes. She made it almost to the top before realizing how high she was and calmly demanding to go back down. I was proud, none the less.

And, yes, our girl loves to dance!

Snow.....Again!

Another beautiful snow in Decatur - this time a bit more and during the day. Esther has been lucky to experience so much snow in GA - really odd winter here. It was quite beautiful and really fun for the whole family.
Papa was able to come home early from school and enjoy some family snow-time
Catching snowflakes on her tongue
Snowman #1 - fell apart very quickly
What's that look? Loving my husband
Smooches from my sweetest pea!
Sledding on a cookie sheet
E in the laundry basket
Snowman #2 - he survived until the sun got him. Kind of cute, isn't he!
And a video of Esther's 'fun' sled run

La Luna

So, Esther is obsessed with the moon dress you see above (and, Wow, what a playtime that was). I got it at a thrift store - it's too big, totally faded...but aren't those the best! She begs to wear it most every day. So, rather than fight over a moon dress, I thought I'd make her another. Crafting with my gal = happy Mama. And isn't she stinkin' cute?
